Computer Coding
Throughout the school year, each grade level will have some experience with computer coding. Everything that we use digitally required someone to imagine, create, & program. Often there is a disconnect between the tools we use everyday and understanding the process of how these programs function. It is important for our students, that are growing up in the 21st century, to have 21st century skills and understanding.
Kindergarten-2nd grade
Tynker's Drag-and-drop computer programs help these beginner computer users understand the basics of computer coding. Students play different logical puzzle games using drag-and-drop code. Students apply these skills in the Puppy Adventure.

Through this program, students learn the functions of for-var loops, while-loops, functions, commands, capitalization & punctuation, if statements & if else-statements.
